The overall purpose of the workshop is to increase participant’s knowledge and understanding of the concept of gender, and gender-based violence, sexuality, and rights. Through understanding the multiple pathways of harm directed towards individuals because of their gender, we can build capacity for informed practice to recognize the indicators of harm, how to start a conversation and how to support colleagues and students with risk mitigation, reporting and further support.

This event is being held during the 16 days of action against gender-based violence. It is hosted by Womens Aid, and is part of the UWS 16 days of Action events.
