About this Event
Discover the art of eco printing through the playful and versatile technique of gel plate printing in this hands-on workshop. Participants will explore how to transform natural materials—such as leaves, flowers, grasses and other found botanicals—into beautifully layered prints full of texture, pattern and organic detail.
Using gel plates, brayers & acrylic paints, you’ll learn how to create one-of-a-kind impressions that capture the delicate structures of plants while experimenting with color blending, resist techniques and mark-making. This process is accessible to beginners yet rich enough for experienced artists looking to expand their printmaking practice.
Throughout the session, we’ll cover how to select and prepare botanicals, build dynamic compositions and pull successful prints. You’ll leave with a collection of unique eco prints on paper, along with the skills and confidence to continue exploring this sustainable and expressive art form at home.
All materials are provided. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
