About this Event
In this session you will discover an easy way to learn the art of printing without a press. Simple and expressive prints can add extra dimension to work, especially when combined with embroidery and embellishments.
Employing natural, botanical, and abstract themes, we will first create a print on fabric with gel plate printing. Following that, the print will be enhanced using stitch techniques such as needle weaving and couching. Step by step tuition is provided in this workshop, with both the printing technique and stitches being demonstrated.
There will be a wide selection of colours and textures of threads and beads to choose from. It is possible to create many prints within this session, leading to multiple projects following the workshop. Materials will be available to take with you to complete the project at home.
This workshop is suitable for all levels including beginners, as full tuition will be provided.
