Ceilidh dancing, team games, live music, comedy, kilts! Kick those January blues with a queer take on Scottish fun and frolics !
About this Event

Each January, Scots across the world join together for a Burns Supper to celebrate the life and work of one of their most famous bards, Robert Burns - Rabbie, if you're nasty.

This year, come along as Scot music maker Venn Smyth and co-host Jamsheed Master for a modern and queer take on the celebration at Two Brewers in South London. Bringing a much needed escape to the January blues, bring yer pals for a right knees up and joyful evening! Throw your caution, and yer kilt, to the wind!

You can expect:

  • Live music
  • Comedy from Scottish-ally Jimmy Tam
  • Quiz
  • Games - such as The Kilted Cat Walk and True Scot Or Not?
  • And of course - ceilidh dancing! (Don't worry, we'll teach you the moves!)

Doors 7pm

Show 7.30pm-10pm

Audiences at the last Gayly Ceilidh said:

“So Good!”

“A fab show”

“Was distracted by you all in kilts”

Venn Smyth has been praised as “a superb songwriter” with his music reaching No.1 on the LGBTQ Music Chart. His engaging performances have taken him to the finals of Brighton’s Voice of Broadway and semis of London Pride’s Got Talent and Una Voce per San Marino.

Jamsheed Master arrived on the international scene producing tracks for BAFTA-winning SingStar! and Disney SingIt! videogames. Jam toured Japan as piano-vocalist with The Golden Age of Song, and their own music gets described as a ‘giant bear hug’.

Jimmy Tam is British-Chinese queer comedian who tells short, sharp and sometimes saucy jokes about his gaysian life and ho-ritage! Komedia New Comedy Award 2025 semi-finalist; West End New Old Act 2024 finalist; LGBTQ+ New Comedian 2024 semi-finalist; Rising Star New Act 2023 finalist.
