Gathering in Joy: A Black Feminist Book Club

The book club meets monthly during the spring semester in accessible, off-campus community spaces, centering reciprocity and inclusivity.

Each session blends structure with flexibility, creating space for reflection, dialogue, and connection. For our final month, we're reading a book of poetry! salt. by Nayirrah waheed

Sessions include a grounding activity (breathing or meditation) and a facilited discussion of the texts. Participants will also engage in collective journaling to connect personal experiences to broader social and political contexts.

Each gathering closes with a shared ritual — light food or creative expression — to nurture community, joy, and care.
