This garden inspired day includes two projects that celebrate the versatility of local wool, teaching a range of techniques to enable progression in skill.Learn the core techniques of needle felting to create beautiful, rustic felted spheres. These versatile 'Woolly Garden Balls' can be used as charming decorative ornaments that can be used as decorative ornaments or, with the addition of a drop of essential oil, natural, aromatic room diffusers or moth-repellent scent balls for your wardrobe. As part of the session, you will spend some time in the garden to seek floral inspiration to use in the decoration of your woolly balls.
Building on these skills, tutor Linda Best will then guide you through the afternoon project to sculpt a three-dimensional felted sheep using local fleece. You will develop your skills to include sculptural techniques as you create a unique, textured character.
