About this Event
Following a sell-out event in 2025, this one-day in person event will focus on the future of hydrogeology in scotlnad, showcasing recent advancements in monitoring and modelling, exploring groundwater's role in a sustainable energy transition, and discussing potential capacity issues for the sector.
Invited talks:
David Banks (Envireau / Glasgow Uni) - "So demanding! Balancing thermogeological heating and cooling demand with groundwater demand and environmental impact"
Nick Mannix (Flow-5) - "Remote, real time monitoring systems for groundwater supplies and groundwater resources in Scotland"
Kirsty Upton (BGS)- "Digital groundwater systems: insights into the past, present and future, with a focus on Scottish groundwater"
Mike Streetly - "Access to careers in hydrogeology"
There will also be several panel discussions focused on education and what skills are needed / wanted in hydrogeology.
As usual, there will be lots of networking opportunities through poster presentations with nano introductory talks.
We also can't forget to mention: coffee, cake and lunch!
