FutureBUILDS, a BIPOC Real Estate Development Incubator, seeks to support mid-career Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, who are interested in launching entrepreneurial ventures in real estate development. The goal of this initiative is to add new thinking, agility and ideas into the sector by engaging BIPOC entrepreneurs and innovators who are passionate about housing and building sustainable cities.
FutureBUILDS was developed by Monumental and in partnership with the University of Toronto Infrastructure Institute. FutureBUILDS is funded by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Centre.
Monumental works to advance fair, just and culturally competent city-building and real estate development. We help organizations deepen their social impact and embed an equity lens into their work, ensuring that social equity, community participation, and prosperity for all are core strategic imperatives. We work closely with vital city building institutions across Canada, with a specific focus on amplifying the voices and leadership of equity-deserving communities.
