🧒 Fungi for Families – Event Description
Welcome to a mushroom adventure designed just for kids (and the grown-ups who bring them).
At Pinhey Forest, we’ll turn the forest into a playground of discovery—learning about fungi through games, storytelling, and hands-on exploration.
Kids will:
- Learn what mushrooms are (and what they’re definitely not)
- Discover weird and wonderful fungi facts
- Go on mini “mushroom hunts”
- Build curiosity about the natural world
Parents can relax and enjoy the walk alongside their kids—no teaching required, but do please keep an eye on your child.
Details:
- Duration: 90 minutes (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM)
- Kids: Paid ticket (5+)
- Parents/guardians: Free
- Trail: Easy, but not stroller-friendly
- What to bring: Comfortable shoes, water, weather-appropriate clothing, mosquito repellent/netting (even if you don't think you will want to use it, trust us.)
