About this Event
Unburdened: A Full-Day Somatic IFS, Dramatherapy & Breathwork Retreat for Empowerment & Self-Leadership.
Let go of the roles that no longer serve, and lead from your truth
Day retreat Summary
A full-day retreat weaving together Somatic IFS, Biodynamic Breathwork, Active Meditation, and Creative Therapy to support deep inner transformation.
In this restorative immersion, you’ll meet the parts of you that hold fear, shame, doubt, and self-criticism—and learn how to hear their deeper message. Through creative and somatic exploration, we will soften their grip, release old patterns, and reconnect to the Self beneath the noise.
With breath, movement, and creativity, we’ll return to a grounded, resourced state of clarity and compassion—so you can move through the world in alignment with your truth, no longer led by inner conflict, but by Self-leadership and inner peace.
To support and sustain you through your healing journey the workshop will be catered by Ruth whose food and drink is curated to provide the wholesome nourishment your mind and body need.
This retreat is for anyone ready to:
- Reconnect to their inner calm and clarity
- Release internal blocks and old stories
- Explore the parts that sabotage or push too hard
- Learn to lead their life with more presence, freedom, and ease
You’ll leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more deeply connected to yourself.
What to Expect:
Somatic IFS Exploration
You’ll be gently guided to connect with the parts of you that hold you back—those internal voices that sabotage, protect, avoid, or push too hard.
We’ll explore where these parts live in the body and how they’ve served you as protective mechanisms.
With curiosity and compassion, you’ll begin to understand what they need in order to soften, step back, and allow more space for your Self—your calm, wise, clear inner leader.
Active Embodied Meditation & Guided Visualisations
We’ll be shaking off stress and tension and grounding the nervous system to activate Self-energy—a place of deep internal resource.
This movement-based meditation supports nervous system regulation and helps you connect with your body’s wisdom before we move into deeper work.
Further guided visualisations will be woven into the day to support you to listen to yourself (and your parts) to help you on your journey.
Biodynamic Breathwork (BBTRS)
Through guided breath, sound, and movement, we’ll meet the parts of us that are holding on—whether to fear, grief, control, shame, or old stories.
Breathwork will support you to feel into where these parts hold their grip, allow their emotional charge to move through, and gently begin to release and complete the patterns they’ve been playing out.
We’ll create space for these parts to relinquish control, so that Self can emerge more fully.
From this space, the breathwork journey becomes one of integration—bringing these parts back into connection and relationship with Self.
Creative Therapeutic Reflection & Integration
We will be exploring our inner world with creative therapeutic reflection—using art, writing, metaphor, or symbolic imagery to help process and integrate what has emerged.
We’ll listen deeply to the parts that have come forward and reflect on what they need to feel safe and supported as we move forward.
There will also be an opportunity to share your insights or experience with the group, if that feels supportive and right for you.
Through this process, we begin to rebuild relationships with exiled parts—not to exile them further, but to invite them into wholeness, compassion, and cooperation.
We reweave the threads of our inner system so that our Self can lead, supported—not blocked—by the parts within.
