Let your little ones unleash their artistic side and get their hands dirty at this creative pottery workshop, filled with activities to spark their imagination. Sessions are run by Ms Lepere, a primary school teacher at Edmund Waller Primary School, who runs Lepere Ceramics as a small business alongside! Check out @lepere_ceramics instagram for more details.

Curriculum:
Over the day, your child will have an introduction to several hand building techniques, before adding colour to their pieces by using decorative slip. They will work on directed projects, as well as being given the all important opportunity to enjoy creative freedom, applying their new skills as they see fit. In the weeks after the workshop, your child's projects will be dried, fired twice in the kiln and glazed (transparent glaze, to make the decorative slip colour pop!) so collection of their finished products will be several weeks after the workshop.
Packed Lunch Necessary:
Your child will need to bring a packed lunch. Fruit and squash will be available onsite for the children to snack on at playtime, but feel free to send them in with additional snacks to keep them going if you prefer.
