From Tall Trees to Flying Squirrels -- Tales from the Redwood CanopyBios and Talk Description: Drs. Lucy and Nick Kerhoulas live in Kneeland, have three daughters at Garfield School, and are active members of the Freshwater Grange Community. At Cal Poly Humboldt, Lucy is an Associate Professor of Forest Physiology and Nick teaches in the Wildlife Department. They both love nature, are lucky to get to study the natural world together, and bring complementary areas of expertise to their investigations.
In this talk, Lucy will first discuss some wow-factor information about tall trees on the North Coast. Next, Nick will introduce some of the critters that live in our local forest canopies. This talk will be a fun exploration of the redwood forest, full of surprises that are sure to enhance your future forest experiences.
