Babs Collective is welcoming you to our Monthly Creative Workshops. Join us for a cozy, hands-on experience designed for stationery lovers, journal keepers, ink enthusiasts, and anyone who finds joy in pen, paper, and the little details. Each month, we spotlight a different facilitator from the creative community—bringing their unique style, craft, and passion to the table.
For our April Babs Collective workshop, we’re delighted to welcome Beedo&Co as our facilitator.
Beedoo&Co is the creative world of Derek and Kat, a husband-and-wife duo who turned a small post-wedding side project into a beloved shop filled with magnetic bookmarks, stickers, and a whole lot of personality. Many of their designs are inspired by their real-life corgi, Miso, who has quietly become the muse behind it all. Kat is the ideas person, dreaming up each concept, while Derek brings those ideas to life through his illustrations.
For this workshop, we’re inviting you into their playful, creative universe.
In this workshop, Derek will walk you through the process of turning your pet, or your favourite animal, into an adorable cartoon character. He'll help you find the little details that make your subject completely theirs: the tilt of an ear, a goofy expression, whatever makes you laugh when you look at them. Derek works digitally on an iPad, but you're welcome to use whatever medium feels right for you.
And then comes the magic ✨
Once your illustration is finished, Kat will take your design home, scan it, and transform it into a set of five vinyl stickers. Your original artwork comes back to you too, along with your stickers, ready to go wherever you want them.
Everyone will leave with a selection of goodies from Beedoo&Co, and you'll have the chance to pick up their planner stickers at a special discounted price.
