About this Event
Satellite remote sensing data is increasingly becoming a common source of evidence when prosecuting environmental crimes. In this regard, commercial satellite data is most often used to monitor environmental violations. The increasing commercialization of satellite data has raised questions about the viability of the data presented as evidence and concerns about privacy and intellectual property. In this webinar, Dr. Dimitra Stefoudi provides her perspectives on the regulatory frameworks governing the use and dissemination of remote sensing data under international law and within the European Union (EU), followed by a discussion with SGAC's Space Law and Policy team.
