Targeted Interventions & Catch-Up Strategies In Maths & English Evidenced To Accelerate Your Students’ Progress & Attainment

It’s widely acknowledged that children struggle with retaining all the information presented to them in school. At the same time, teachers face the formidable task of navigating an extensive curriculum, whilst ensuring pupils genuinely understand everything they’ve learned. And finding the time to consistently revisit topics? That just adds another layer of complexity for teachers.

Created by teachers, for teachers, DoodleLearning has been designed to support in-class teaching. It provides teachers with an intervention tool that’s proven and evidenced to raise attainment and reduce teacher workload, whilst building positive learning skills through the ‘little and often’ approach.

Doodle creates every learner their own personalised maths and English work programme using Proxima™, a clever algorithm, which identifies their learning gaps and regularly revisits tricky topics, removing the need for setting differentiated work and timetabling multiple ability-based intervention questions.

And, just 10 minutes of Doodling a day is proven to double a child’s rate of progression. With fun, interactive exercises, even the most reluctant learners are engaged and able to experience success. This could be during challenging transition times, a morning starter, or a ‘tablet time’ reward – Doodle can fit seamlessly into any school day, without adding to teacher workload.

Accessibility options, including audio dictation and coloured overlays, are also on hand to support pupils and encourage independent learning. Audio dictation enables all children to access questions irrespective of their reading age, ability or background, removing a big barrier to both in-class and home learning.

We know how important it is to be able to evidence the impact of intervention work. Doodle marks each child’s work and tracks their progress over time, including their understanding of ARE’s and the % of EoY objectives covered. Individual, class and whole-school data can be instantly exported from the online Teacher Hub, perfect for analysing the impact of interventions in data drops and Pupil Progress Meetings.

“Our data suggests that the children who use Doodle regularly make greater progress in literacy and numeracy than their peers. An example would be a Year 5 pupil who initially struggled with his work in mathematics but is now above age-related expectations.”

– Jackie, Headteacher at Mapledene Primary School

With Doodle, schools aren’t just investing in their pupils’ academic progress: they’re also helping to build confident, resilient individuals who are ready to take on challenges and open the doors to exciting new opportunities!

If you would like to hear more about DoodleLearning’s exceptional work with school and trust leaders and witness live demonstrations of how Doodle can support the success of interventions in your school or MAT, we would love to welcome you to this free online Spotlight event taking place on Thursday 25th July from 16:15 – 16:45.
