About this Event
Generations of systemic inequality, racial trauma, migration, silence around mental health, and survival-based coping strategies have shaped many Black families. While these experiences reflect strength and resilience, they can also influence communication patterns, emotional expression, trust, and relationships across generations.
From Pain to Power: Breaking Generational Cycles in Black Families is a culturally grounded therapeutic workshop designed to explore how intergenerational trauma develops and how it continues to affect individuals and families today.
This session offers a safe, respectful, and supportive space for honest conversation. Through guided dialogue and reflective exercises, participants will gain deeper understanding — not to assign blame, but to build awareness, compassion, and practical pathways toward healing.
What You Can Expect
