From avantgarde jazz to music made for plants, join DJ, Atsushi Hasegawa for a one-hour sound performance exploring migration, memory, and cultural coincidence.Atsushi Hasegawa is a Japanese creative director and sound practitioner based in Somerset, UK. Born in Japan, shaped by 15 years in Paris, and now working in rural England, his work reflects a life lived between languages, geographies, and traditions.
Using vinyl records as both medium and archive, Hasegawa constructs a live, cinematic sound composition from an unusual and deeply personal collection gathered over decades. Many of these records originate from France and former French colonies, alongside Japanese music and works that travelled to Japan and left lasting influence.
