Leicester Hospitals Charity's Parent Facilities Appeal will extend and improve parent facilities at the Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU) based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. We need your help to keep families close when it matters the most.
During this Games Night, funds raised will go towards supporting the families of our youngest and most critically ill patients. Your efforts will help create private, welcoming spaces where parents can stay nearby—spaces designed for rest, reflection, and a moment of calm during incredibly difficult times.
Because when a child is in intensive care, being close to family is more than comfort—it’s essential.

Our networking events are relaxed. No need to pitch. No need to give a speech. No need to commit to any time regulations - just turn up, do business and enjoy yourself!
Right now on the Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Leicester Royal Infirmary, Mums and Dads are sat by their child’s bedside, day in, day out, whilst their little one receives critical, life-saving care.
Parents know their child is in the best place, cared for by the very best people. But too many parents face long, exhausting days and nights with nowhere suitable to rest. With just three bedrooms available for up to seven families, many have no other choice but to sleep in waiting rooms, play areas or on uncomfortable chairs — tired, anxious, and without anywhere to find privacy and securely store their belongings.
Together, we can change this.
With your support, we aim to create a parent bedroom for every child on the Unit – alongside improving current facilities and creating private areas so parents can stay close, rest and gather strength to support their critically ill child.
With your help, we can give families the dignity, privacy and comfort they deserve.
