About this Event
Event overview
Leicester Museum & Art Gallery is creating a new interactive called “Living Portraits” for its People & Portraits gallery. The gallery is currently under construction, so this review session will take place at the King Richard III Visitor Centre. All-In Leicester is hosting a hands-on access review, where participants will test the interactive, provide feedback, and help ensure it is accessible and engaging for everyone. This will be the first in a series of access reviews that All-In will run with Leicester Museum & Art Gallery for the duration of their capital development works, due to complete in 2029.
About the Interactive:
“Living Portraits” allows visitors to take a photo, apply artistic styles inspired by the museum’s portrait collection, and see the image displayed in the gallery.
During the session, we’ll explore:
- Camera positions – seated and standing
- Stylus options for users
- Clarity of content – readability and ease of use
- Navigation routes – seeing if on screen instructions are intuitive
Your feedback will directly influence the design and accessibility of this new interactive.
