As part of her upcoming UK tour, Sanskrati Wahane, a rising sitar star of Indian classical music, will be performing alongside tabla virtuoso Gurdain Rayatt. Discovered at the age of 18 through a raw, unedited video posted by her father, Sanskrati's soulful sitar playing and profound understanding of melody have captivated audiences worldwide . Trained in the Etawah gharana under the guidance of her father, Lokesh Wahane, and currently under the tutelage of the legendary Ustad Shahid Parvez and Pandit Suresh Talwalkar, she brings a rare blend of technical brilliance and emotional depth to her performances .
Joining her is Gurdain Rayatt, a London-based tabla maestro known for his dynamic rhythms and deep understanding of classical percussion. Together, they promise an evening of enchanting improvisation and seamless musical synergy, offering a true celebration of Indian classical music.
