About this Event
In this all-ages class, Martin Mudd will be teaching participants to learn the elements of the Way of the Scout, beginning with the skills of finding water, shelter, food, first aid, and building a fire as well as some core ethical principles.
Participants are asked to dress for the outdoors and be prepared for some moderate hiking (it's tick season so closed-toe shoes, pants, and bug spray are recommended as are water, snacks, and a way to take notes). We will plan to meet at the Pavilion and head out into the forest (weather-permitting). If the weather isn't cooperative, we will stay at the shelter.
Class is FREE, but limited to 15 participants so please register. If you have registered and can no longer attend, PLEASE CANCEL your registration so that someone else may take your place. NO PETS.
About Martin:
Martin is an Eagle Scout, teacher, carpenter, and a tent-dweller by preference. He lives on the sylvan banks of the Rockcastle River.
