The Sugar Beats came to life in late 2023 in a similar way that breakfast cereal scientists combine ingredients together until they hit the perfect formula. Hailing from Australia’s own Seattle, Wollongong, the band draws its pedigree from pioneering female Aussie hard rock band Nitocris and current garage punk no-goods The Strike Outs and they ignite this punch, swagger and know-how into the Sugar Beats mix. Since coming together they’ve played a bunch of live shows anywhere and everywhere along the NSW east coast - and squeezed in time to record their self-titled debut album at the Pet Food Factory.
