Join the City of North Port as we celebrate America's 250th birthday at our annual Freedom Festival, presented by Dragonfly Dental. This milestone Independence Day event brings the community together for an unforgettable evening filled with energy, tradition and patriotic pride, complete with family-friendly activities, great vendors, delicious food and a spectacular fireworks finale.
The celebration begins with a powerful opening ceremony. The North Port Young Marines will present the colors as the National Anthem is performed by Jennifer Montalvo, followed by a thrilling flyover from the Gulf Coast Raptors Formation Flight Team. Inspiring remarks from City officials will round out the ceremony and set the tone for the evening that honors both our nation's history and our City's future.
On the front Event Lawn, the Patriotic Play Zone offers free fun for all ages bounce houses, lawn games, music and more!
Inside the stadium, Firecracker Lane brings the celebration to life along the concourse with a vibrant mix of vendors and community organizations offering unique goods, information and local connections. The evening’s live music begins with J&R Fusion, followed by a featured performance by Dukes of Brinkley. Together, the bands will keep the energy going throughout the night and help create a rockin' atmosphere from start to finish.
Guests can enjoy seating inside the stadium or relax on the Event Lawn. Those watching the fireworks from the lawn are welcome to bring blankets or chairs to settle in for the grand finale.
