Join the class and find relief from tension in your face, jaw and neck, by combining gentle movement and attention.
Many of us experience chronic holding of tension in our jaw or grinding our teeth at night, which can affect the quality of sleep, cause headaches and contribute to discomforts around neck and shoulders.
Using a sophisticated combination of exploratory movement and our attention, working with jaw can be a powerful way in to interrupt, reduce and even eliminate habitual patterns of tension and pain, allowing possibilities for comfort, ease and pleasure.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons consist of a series of gentle, ingenious movements, verbally directed and exploratory in nature. In each series we focus on a different theme keeping us engaged in building a clearer image of ourselves, by paying attention to our sensations as we move.
Broadly beneficial and appropriate for people of all ages, interests and abilities.
Wear comfortable layered clothing. Please bring your own floor mat to lie on if possible
(some mats will be provided if you do not bring yours).
