H air Care and Hair Loss Talk
Lorna Jones, Certified Trichologist from the International Association of Trichologists will share her expert Afro hair care and styling tips.
Biography
Lorna Jones is a qualified Trichologist from the International Association of Trichologists (IAT), with global clinical training undertaken in Australia, South Africa, Washington and the UK.
She founded Caring for Hair, a London-based clinic specialising in hair loss and scalp issues. As a published author and international speaker, she also runs training courses on the science of hair and gives clinical training to student trichologists.
Lorna leads the UK CCCA support group under the U.S Scarring Alopecia Foundation, supporting those affected by Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia, (CCCA) a condition common among Black women.
Additionally, she founded C & Hair, a service offering support for individuals affected by cancer-related Afro hair loss, recognising some of the unique challenges when faced with a cancer diagnosis.
The workshop will run from 1pm to 2.30pm. Doors open at 12.30pm
The workshop will be held at The Black Cultural Centre Islington, 16–18 Hornsey Road, N7 7BT. Nearest tube station is Holloway Road (Picadilly Line).
