FREE School Governor Training on Operation Encompass and Domestic Abuse and the Impact on Children
About this Event

This FREE Training lasts approximately 1 hour and will be delivered online.

This training is a short course that will give you an insight into domestic abuse and the impact of children of all ages. It will look at the role of Operation Encompass within your setting, the types of conflict/abuse reported to schools and experienced by families, including ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences). It will also discuss our training offer to schools.

A variety of training methods are used throughout the session, including discussion, videos and case studies. No previous knowledge or experience of domestic abuse is needed to attend this course.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people

• Understanding the role of Operation Encompass and the correct processes to follow

• Understand the types of conflict/abuse reported to schools and experienced by families
