About this Event

Ramble Worldwide is the UK’s leading independent walking holiday specialist, trusted by thousands of people for over 80 years. Founded in 1946 by walking experts and enthusiasts, we have always believed in the transformative power of exploring on foot. Today, we invite you to step into adventure, with over 300 carefully curated walking holidays across the UK, Europe and destinations worldwide.

Join us on this free guided sample walk to experience the camaraderie and sense of adventure that thousands of our guests have enjoyed before, and help us celebrate the last 80 years as we step into our next adventure.

The walk follows the south bank of the River Thames from Putney, taking in some well-known landmarks along the way. You’ll pass the University Stone, which marks the start of the famous Boat Race, before continuing past the peaceful London Wetland Centre and the striking former Harrods Furniture Depository.

From there, you cross the river via Hammersmith Bridge, with great views along the Thames, before heading back along the north bank. On the return, you’ll pass Fulham’s redeveloped football ground and the historic Fulham Palace, finishing back in Putney after a relaxed and varied riverside walk.

To ensure a smooth pace and the best experience for all participants, we kindly ask that our hikes remain pet-free and child-free. This helps us keep the group moving comfortably and ensures everyone can fully enjoy the adventure. Thank you for your understanding.

By participating in this sample hike, all participants acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety, well-being, and personal belongings, and agree to assume all risks associated with outdoor activities. Ramble Worldwide is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages incurred during the event.
