Free Poetry Writing Workshop!
"A Mind of Winter"
Come join us for a free poetry writing workshop, focused on poems inspired by the season of winter. No previous experience necessary. We’ll read several examples of poems from history that seek to capture the beauty and intensity of the season.
Then we’ll try our own hand at drafting a new poem inspired by winter. Hopefully we’ll feel encouraged and inspired to share.
Richie Hofmann is the recipient of a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship and a 2025 Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the author of three books of poetry, The Bronze Arms (forthcoming from Knopf, 2026), A Hundred Lovers, and Second Empire. He has taught poetry writing at all levels online and in person at the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, Stanford University, and the University of Chicago.
