Free training in peer education for 12 - 25 year old's. Increase your confidence over two days.About this Event
This is a two day intensive course that teaches skills in peer education, facilitation and group working. Increasing your confidence in leading workshops, public speaking and peer education. This training is free and open to any 12 - 25 year olds living in the Glasgow, South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire area.
You must be available to attend both days.
Tuesday 17th February: 12pm - 5pm
Wednesday 18th Febraury: 10am - 3pm

After completion of this course participants have the opportunity to lead workshops on alcohol, drugs, spiking and smoking with groups of their peers. Alongside one to one support from U-Turn Support Workers and weekly sessions with other educators.
This training is created and hosted by U-Turn. Delivered by Emma and Theo, Peer Education Support Workers. Both trainers are PVG certified and Child/Adult Protection trained.
U-Turn Peer Education is a service funded by The National Lottery – Young Start, provided by Murray’s Initiative. The service works across Glasgow City, East Renfrewshire and South Lanarkshire.
Our Peer Education Service is designed to support individuals to become involved in their community, working with those who are affected by alcohol and other drugs through their own experiences or those of family or friends.
