Enjoy free admission to the American Writers Museum and find writing inspiration! As the seasons change, November is a great time to tackle your writing project and we want to help you get across the finish line. Join your fellow writers and readers at the AWM’s Writers Space, where you can swap ideas, share tips, give feedback and, well, write.Free days include access to all of our exhibits, including our current special exhibit Level Up: Writers and Gamers. Free admission to the American Writers Museum is available on the third Sunday of each month.
You can also enjoy our special ‘Twas the Night Before: A Holiday Tour, celebrating the timeless tales and cherished traditions that have shaped our holiday celebrations, at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Spend a day at the AWM with fellow writers and find motivation for your novel from the American masters of the craft, including:
•Jack Kerouac, who wrote On the Road in three weeks on one long typewritten scroll.
•Dorothy Parker, who once telegraphed her editor, “I SIMPLY CANNOT GET THE THING DONE PAPER COVERED WITH WRONG WORDS.”
•Ernest Hemingway, who psyched himself up with the mantra, “Do not worry. You have always written before and you will write now.”
•Ray Bradbury, who had a sign above his typewriter that read, “DON’T THINK.”
This get-together is open to writers of all levels and genres. Whether you’re a seasoned novelist or just starting your writing journey, the AWM is here to inspire and support you.
