About this Event
Experience a deeply restorative Gentle Yin + Yoga Nidra class designed to support deep rest, nervous system regulation, stress relief, and emotional grounding. Held inside North Park’s new mental-health–focused movement studio, Embodied Truth + Power, this practice combines slow, supported Yin Yoga with the healing power of Yoga Nidra—often called “yogic sleep.”
The first half of class offers long-held, seated and reclined Yin poses, supported by props and held for several minutes to stretch fascia, improve mobility, and release stored tension. These slow, mindful shapes help calm the mind, soften the body, and ease the stress response.
You’ll then transition into Yoga Nidra, a guided deep-rest meditation known for improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and supporting emotional regulation. This practice gently shifts the body into a parasympathetic (rest-and-restore) state—ideal for anyone feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or depleted.
This class is perfect for:
