Journey back in time to post-war Australia as we learn about the lives and works of printmakers Henry Salkauskas, Eva Kubbos and Udo Sellbach. Join Beatrix Brenneman, Gordon Darling Intern, Australian Prints and Drawings, as she examines how these artists emerged from the rubble of war-torn Europe, bringing with them knowledge of printmaking and a European sensibility that informed their work and defined their practice.
Learn how their works, alongside those of other émigré artists spurred a printmaking revival that awakened the landscape of Australian art.

Join us for a free Friday Art Talk, and take home a taste of the cultures which inform modern Australia, with recipes from Malaysia (AK Ramakrishna, Head Chef AK’s Diner), Italy (Francesco Petrillo, Fmr Head Chef, The Italian Place) and Lithuania (Nida Degutienė, food blogger, author of Australian Flavours: My Discoveries).
