About this Event
We’re excited to be volunteering with Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary in Del Mar, on Sunday, February 26 at 2:30 PM. We’ll plan to be on site starting at 2:30 PM and finish around 3:30 to 4:00 PM.
This hands-on event will involve helping care for rescued birds through tasks like raking and sweeping, scrubbing cages and perches, cleaning food and water bowls, and preparing enrichment toys.
Please make sure to wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that does not have buttons, sequins, or zippers. Once we arrive, we’ll be divided into different groups to help with a variety of hands-on tasks, including raking and sweeping, scrubbing and cleaning cages and perches, removing old or damaged toys, washing food and water bowls, and preparing new enrichment toys for the birds.
Parking is VERY limited. Please plan to carpool or use the paid lot across the street- Make sure NOT to park in front of the vet clinic next door.
