Flowers take on a second life in this collaborative workshop, where hand-tied floral design meets the art of botanical fabric impressions. Fresh blooms become both arrangement and medium, leaving behind color, texture, and memory on cloth.
This workshop begins with hand-tied flower arranging, where you’ll learn how to create a beautifully wrapped floral bundle using seasonal flowers. Guided by one of Native Poppy’s professional florists, you’ll explore balance, color pairing, and foundational techniques, along with tips for flower care and presentation.
The experience continues with botanical fabric impressions (also known as Hapazome) led by Violet of Botanical Spells. Using fresh flowers, you’ll use a mallet to transfer natural pigments and shapes onto fabric, creating two unique floral napkins. This natural dye technique focuses on observation, placement, and mark-making—allowing the flowers themselves to guide the final design. The focus is on exploration and creative expression, offering a relaxed, supportive environment to work with natural materials and create functional keepsakes infused with floral memory.
