Forró Fridays is a fun evening of forró social dancing in Angel, London, organised by Brazilian dance school Forró Academy.
Never heard of forró? Think salsa, but with a Brazilian twist!
On Friday nights, we have two levels of dance classes, as well as a party/social:
- 19:00-20:00 - Beginner class
- 19:30-20:30 - Intermediate class
- 20:00 till late - DJ Party/Social
You don't need to bring a partner, and no previous dance experience is required to join our class for beginners. Forró Academy provides a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone to improve their skills and make new friends.
Each class is £12.50 per person, but if it's your first class with Forró Academy, you may be able to book a taster class for FREE by booking in advance via Eventbrite (please note that only a limited number of free taster places are available for each class). Entry to the party is £5 per person.

The venue is a short walk from Angel station (Highbury & Islington station is also nearby). When you arrive, you'll find St Mary's Neighbourhood Centre behind the flower shop "Dansk Flowers" on Upper Street.
