About this Event
Join us in the beautiful Great Hall of the Queens House in Greenwich for an introduction to historical pocket making.
This is an open-access session so bring a friend!
You will be able to have a go at making your own decorated historical tie-on pocket, as worn by women in the 18th Century when pockets were not sewn into garments, but were seperate articles of clothing tied around the waist between skirts and petticat - often a woman's only private place.
Come along and find out more !
