Free Community Event: Let’s start spring with fresh air, movement, and community!Come celebrate motherhood across generations! Bring your kids, your own mom, a mother figure, or simply come walk in honor of the mothers in your life.
It will be so special to see the lineage and connections come together - great-grandmas, grandmas, moms, children, babies, aunts, sisters, friends, and anyone else you’d love to invite to be part of this.
This will be a casual walk. Walk as much or as little as you'd like, and feel free to come and go as you please.
If you would prefer not to walk or cannot walk, but still want to be part of the community, we will also be gathering at the shelter next to the playground (Walt Casey Memorial Shelter #2).
For anyone who is interested, I will have green ribbons available for those who would like to set intentions for the summer ahead. This is completely optional and very casual — no public speaking or sharing required. You can tie your ribbon on your wrist, stroller, purse, bag, or even around a ponytail.
If you are someone who works with moms or families in the Treasure Valley, please feel free to bring business cards to place on the table. This gathering is about celebrating mothers, supporting local women and families, and helping connect people with resources they may not have known existed.
Examples might include:
• family or maternity photographers
• lactation consultants
• family or prenatal chiropractors
• breads or baked goods
• birthday or event sign creators
• OBs, midwives, or doulas
• family skincare products
• childcare providers
• tutors
and so many more possibilities!
We’ll begin gathering at 11:30 AM to mingle, say hello, and grab a ribbon if you’d like one. For those who would like to participate, we will gather for a group photo at 12:00 PM, and then begin our walk right after. You’re welcome to walk as much or as little as feels good for you. Whenever you finish your walk (anytime before 1:30 PM), come back to the shelter and write on the Bloom Board if you’d like — a simple spring tradition where you can write a single word that describes the women in your life or a word of intention you want to carry with you into the months ahead. 🌿🌼
