About this Event
Freddie Abel is a trumpeter and composer from east London. After starting his career in soul, funk and reggae bands as a young teenager, he discovered his love for jazz and began to dive deeper into that style. Taking influence from composers such as Miles Davis, Olivier Messaein and Boards of Canada, Freddie has brought together a new quartet to make its debut at the Muddy Puddle. Having performed with musicians as diverse as Wynton Marsalis and Gustavo Dudamel and recorded for artists including the Cavemen, Daughter and Jamie **, Freddie aims to use his studies and his musical background to create interesting fusions, and a great experience for the audience.
