ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Join us in honoring the legacy of the late Frank Folsom Smith, a key member of the Sarasota School of Architecture. Architecture Sarasota President Marty Hylton will give a presentation showcasing the life and work of this invaluable Sarasota resident. The tribute will take place at Folsom Smith's home church, designed by him: Siesta Key Chapel, lovingly referred to as "God's Treehouse."

ABOUT THE ARCHITECT
Frank Folsom Smith was an influential member of the Sarasota School of Architecture and the lead architect for Sarasota’s landmark Plymouth Harbor retirement community. During his more than six-decade career, he designed homes, churches, commercial buildings, and communities here and throughout the country. He was a founding member of the Congress for the New Urbanism, and through his commitment to progressive urban design and development laid the foundation for today’s vibrant downtown.
