A landlady suspects that her new lodger is the madman killing women in London.
The Lodger - A Story of The London Fog
1927 | 75 MIN
A young blonde woman is found murdered by the elusive Avenger, who targets blondes on Tuesday nights. At a fashion show, model Daisy Bunting (June Tripp) and her fellow showgirls are shaken by the news and take precautions to conceal their hair. When a mysterious lodger with a striking resemblance to the killer rents a room from Daisy’s family, suspicion and tension rise as he turns away portraits of blonde women. As Daisy’s relationship with the lodger deepens and another victim is discovered, her policeman fiancé Joe (Malcolm Keen) uncovers incriminating evidence, only to learn that the lodger is a grieving brother seeking justice for his sister’s M**der, ultimately leading to a dramatic confrontation and a bittersweet resolution.
