In August 2025, Fran Boogie and JB Balingit (Tropa Modern Filipino Cuisine) launched a simple mission in Lafayette: to prove that nothing unites people quite like food and music. Rooted in Filipino culture—where every family gathering is defined by a spread of delicious food and a shared microphone—Karaoke Brunch was born to bring that same soul and connection to everyone.Now, we’re bringing that inviting, community-driven energy to the world-renowned stage at Yoshi’s Oakland for a special Tuesday night takeover.
