Transformer continues our insightful and artist-centered Panel Series with FRAMEWORK 39: Women Shaping Contemporary Practice: highlighting women in the arts who are emerging into the contemporary arts field, creating dynamic new trajectories with their visual arts practices.

Hosted by the LINE DC as part of Transformer’s ongoing exhibition partnership with the hotel, we are honored to celebrate Women’s History Month by further highlighting the incredible mix of women artists whose artwork is currently on view in two exhibitions at the LINE DC curated & organized by Transformer. DC based artists Genie Ghim, Xenia Gray, Rose Jaffe, Katherine Sable, and Sarah Bell Wilson will each discuss their experiences as women artists navigating the current cultural climate with moderator Victoria Reis, Transformer’s co-Founder, Executive & Artistic Director. This panel is presented in conjunction with Predestiny, an exhibition in the LINE DC’s G level lobby exploring tranquility and transformation through the quiet portraits of Xenia Gray and the secretive landscapes of Sarah Bell Wilson, as well as selections of view at the LINE from Transformer’s recent Full Saturation exhibition.

Launched in December 2002, Transformer’s FRAMEWORK Panel Series engages artists, arts professionals, cultural leaders, and audiences in conversation to create an oral ‘field guide’ encouraging and supporting artists, and educating community through the sharing of new & best contemporary visual arts practices. Presented at DC based universities and cultural institutions, within online formats, and featuring global arts leaders - Transformer’s FRAMEWORK Panel Series seeks to advance critical arts dialogue.
