The 13th District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church invites you to Nashville for a transformative two-day Founder’s Day Celebration rooted in legacy, faith, and forward vision.
Friday, February 6
We begin with a dynamic gathering and plenary experience featuring distinguished voices in the life of the AME Church:
- Rev. Dr. Aaron Treadwell, Director of Africana Studies and Associate Professor of History at Middle Tennessee State University
- Dr. Dennis C. Dickerson, retired General Officer and renowned scholar of AME history
Friday will also include a Founder’s Day Worship Service.
Saturday, February 7 | Youth & Young Adult Convocation
The celebration culminates with an energizing convocation designed to activate the prophetic leadership of today’s youth and young adults. Grounded in the courageous legacy of Bishop Richard Allen, who founded the AME Church at a young age with bold faith and vision, this gathering challenges a new generation to lead in times of disruption and crisis faithfully rebuilding communities, repairing systems, and restoring hope.
