About this Event
Youth Aviation, Aerospace & Pilot Pathway Program
Foundations of the Sky is a hands-on aviation and aerospace program designed to prepare youth in future pathways in aviation, engineering, STEM, and advanced technologies.
Unlike traditional programs ours combines private pilot ground school, Transport Canada-aligned drone certifications, engineering projects, flight simulators, CAD, 3D printing, and applied aerospace learning into one immersive experience.
Students develop real aviation knowledge through:
- Flight theory & aerodynamics
- Paper airplane engineering challenges
- Drone design & build projects
- Flight simulators & operational scenarios
- Airspace, communication & safety training
- Transport Canada-style practice exams
- Drone operations & mission planning
- CAD & aerospace design activities
As part of the program, students may receive:
- A Private Pilot Written Test Recommendation: "Age Qualification Requisites"
- A free Radio Operator Certificate
- A free Transport Canada Basic Drone Pilot Certificate
The program is designed to move students beyond passive classroom learning by connecting them with real aviation environments, professional mentorship, and practical engineering experiences.
Through industry-aligned learning and hands-on application, students build confidence, technical fluency, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and career awareness while developing skills directly connected to future aviation and aerospace opportunities.
Additional tutoring and mentorship are available upon request.
