✨ Please note: this training was previously called the Trauma-Informed Practice Training.

A 20-hour foundation in trauma-informed, body-based practice
For anyone seeking tools to work with stress, complexity, and human connection.

This training was created for the realities of frontline work—the people who hold space for others, often in the toughest moments.
For those who care deeply, but don’t want to burn out in the process.

For those ready to explore simple, body-based tools to make resilience, presence, and sustainable care possible.
No prior experience in somatics is required.

🌱 Why Somatics Now: Reclaiming the Body in Complex Times
We live in an age of disconnection—from our bodies, from one another, and from the living systems that sustain us. Many of our workplaces and institutions prize productivity over presence, efficiency over empathy. Yet the body has always been here—quietly holding our stories, our stress, and our wisdom.
Learning somatics is an act of remembering.
It invites us to reconnect with our nervous system, our intuition, and the simple embodied practices that make care possible.
In doing so, we begin to restore connection—reminding ourselves that regulation and resilience are not just individual pursuits, but collective capacities.
Frontline and care-focused roles bring immense purpose, but also pressure. Burnout, vicarious trauma, and systemic stress are real—and they ripple through our work, relationships, and wellbeing.
Somatic and trauma-informed practices offer a pathway through these pressures, helping you to:
🌀 Regulate your nervous system under stress
🌿 Set boundaries with clarity and compassion
đź’š Build resilience and sustainable care for the long term
Change doesn’t come through information alone—it begins in the body. When we understand our own systems, we can meet the world with clarity, compassion, and grounded presence.

💫 What You’ll Learn
Every journey of embodied change begins within.
~ Self – We start by returning to the body: learning to listen to sensations, the nervous system, and what has been asking for care.
~ Relational – We explore how bodies communicate through co-regulation, attachment, and the subtle language of safety and threat.
~ Collective – We widen the lens to systemic and collective trauma, exploring how social and cultural forces shape our embodied experience.
~ Integration – We bring theory into practice—applying trauma-informed principles to create and hold safer, more resilient spaces.

Somatics is a doorway.
The body is where we meet life—our histories, our relationships, our belonging, and our capacity to act with discernment and care.

🌏 Together We’ll Explore:
~ How trauma lives in both bodies and systems
~ Nervous system science & embodied regulation practices
~ The role of social justice and systemic awareness in trauma-informed care
~ How to create spaces of safety, integrity, and resilience—at work, in classrooms, and in community
~ Everyday practices that reconnect us to ourselves, each other, and the collective

đź’ A Few Reflections:
👉 What shifts when we understand trauma not just as an individual story, but as something shaped by our systems and histories?
👉 What becomes possible when workplaces and communities embody compassion instead of perpetuating harm?
👉 How might your work transform if your presence came from regulation and connection, rather than depletion?

You’ll leave with practical tools for your own nervous system, and frameworks you can bring into the spaces you hold for others.
đź’¬ Past Participant Reflections:
✨ “This training connected the dots about what being trauma-informed truly means. As a social worker, it’s given me tangible tools to regulate myself and resource those I support.”
✨ “One of the best learning environments I’ve ever been in. I left with tools I can bring into all areas of life—and a deeper sense of connection to myself.”

🌱 Imagine…
Workplaces where difficult conversations happen with compassion.
Communities where trauma moves beyond survival, toward thriving.
Organisations that become sites of healing, not harm.

✨ This Training Is For:
Support workers • Educators • Counsellors
Healthcare providers • Community organisers
Yoga & mindfulness facilitators • Anyone holding space for others
You’ll leave grounded, inspired, and resourced—with a clearer sense of how to care for yourself and the communities you serve.
This is education rooted in science, soul, and systemic awareness—an integrative approach to resilience and change.
