🌿 Keen Volunteers Needed in Christchurch! 🌱
Edible Streets is looking for keen volunteers in Ōtautahi Christchurch to help us grow a greener, more resilient future. We’re a grassroots project turning urban spaces into abundant food forests, and we'd love more hands to help!
What we do:
· 🌿 Run an Edible Nursery – propagating berries, fruit trees, herbs, beneficial flowers and support trees.
· 🌳 Pioneer a Syntropic Food Forest – learning and applying this innovative sustainable system.
Currently 1 year wince planted.
· 🤝 Work as a community every second Saturday at the Climate Action Campus.
No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn! Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, all are welcome.
We offer:
· A friendly, hands-on team environment
· Practical experience in edible gardening and sustainable food systems
· The satisfaction of growing plants that will feed communities
Details:
· 📍 Location: Climate Action Campus 35 cawlishaw st
· ⏰ Time: Fortnightly Saturdays – come when you can! 10am till 2pm
· 💚 This is a volunteer role – all help is appreciated!
