About this Event
This event is facilitated by a trauma-informed woman of colour.
Forgiveness is often portrayed as the ultimate step in healing, but what does it really mean to forgive? Is it necessary for your personal journey, or can healing happen without it? In this immersive workshop, designed specifically for trauma survivors, we’ll deep dive into what forgiveness is––and what it isn’t––allowing you to make an informed decision about whether forgiveness is the right path for you.
Through a blend of guided writing exercises, group discussions, and somatic practices, we’ll explore the complexities of forgiveness, challenge common misconceptions, and create a safe space for you to reflect on your own experiences. This workshop is not about forcing forgiveness; it’s about understanding it from all angles and empowering you to choose what feels right for your healing journey.
We’ll conclude with a calming sound bath to integrate what you’ve discovered, leaving you feeling grounded and supported. Whether you're just starting your healing journey or have been on the path for some time, this workshop is a compassionate space for self-exploration and connection with others who understand.
Join us and take a step toward healing—on your terms.

Meet Your Facilitator
Jungle Flower (she/her) is a Tkaronto based poet, speaker, trauma-informed writing guide and sound bath facilitator.
After escaping a psychologically abusive relationship, she founded Reclaim Your Voice in 2012, a BIPOC survivor-led organization that creates safe spaces where people who have experienced abuse and sexual violence can gently work through their trauma. In 2021, Reclaim Your Voice received the Mayor’s Community Safety Award from the so-called City of Toronto.
Jungle Flower found healing through her work in the survivor community. Today she works with schools across the country, hosting survivor-centred workshops and sharing her sacred gifts as a medicine offering for those who need it.
