About this Event
Diana Movius, the National Portrait Gallery’s choreographer-in-residence, returns with an original contemporary ballet performance inspired by the Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection. Movius is the founder and artistic director of Moveius Contemporary Ballet and its flagship arts center, Dance Loft on 14. Movius’s choreography has been presented by the Kennedy Center, Atlas Performing Arts Center, Dance Place and other venues. She trained at Charlotte Ballet with Patricia McBride and earned degrees in anthropology and dance at Stanford University.
Seating is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. Please note that registration does not guarantee you a seat. There is plenty of standing room in the Kogod Courtyard for visitors to watch the performance.
The Portrait Gallery strives to provide programs that are accessible to all visitors. If you have questions about the accessibility of this program, or if you would like to request real-time captioning (CART), sign language interpretation, or any other accommodations, please contact [email protected]. Two weeks' advance notice is appreciated for requesting accommodations.
