About this Event
When we lose wonder, we experience boredom. Wonder requires full attention to the presence. This is a group experience designed to cultivate a sense of wonder.
Through very slow walking and contemplative writing, we'll practice fierce attention. What happens when you spend ten minutes with a single square foot of forest floor? When you ask not "what is this?" but "what else is this?" You'll learn techniques for sustaining curiosity: noticing beyond naming, questions that open rather than close, writing from not-knowing without pretending you know nothing.
This 90-minute experience is for anyone tired of cynicism, anyone who suspects there's more happening than our categories can hold. Bring notebook & pen, hand lens if you have one, willingness to be surprised by what you've seen before.
Wonder is a gift of presence when shared with others.
