About this Event
Foreign Fruit: Talk and Signing
As one of our first events, we're thrilled to be welcoming Katie Goh to celebrate the paperback publication of Foreign Fruit: A Personal History of the Orange!
Katie's hybrid memoir follows the journey and cultivation of a single fruit, the orange, as a means of understanding the world and herself within it. Violence, colonialism, resilience, survival, and adaptation are revealed--as well as unexpected beauty and sweetness.
Foreign Fruit won Debut Non-Fiction of the Year at the Scottish National Book Awards and is currently shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize and Fortnum & Mason's Food and Drink Awards.
We'll hear from Katie and follow up with a book signing. Tickets are fully redeemable towards the cost of a signed book.
